Video shows Chuck Schumer giving ‘thumbs up’ to illegals detained in Texas border facility

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

It has been said that the modern Democratic Party cares more for illegal aliens caught entering the United States without permission than they do for actual American citizens, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer appears to have recently confirmed that assumption through his own physical actions.

During a recent visit to a migrant detention facility near the border in south Texas, Schumer and other Senate Democrats were seen on video arguing with top border and immigration officials before Schumer delivered a double “thumbs-up” of support for a group of illegal alien men in a holding cell.

Schumer’s “thumbs up”

Schumer and other Senate Democrats traveled to McAllen, Texas, on July 19 to tour a migrant detention facility and see first-hand the crisis that many on their side of the aisle denied even existed until only recently.

While speaking with top administration officials on the tour, Schumer and his comrades argued on behalf of the detained migrants and demanded their expedited release from U.S. custody prior to the completion of pending legal processes.

As the tour continued, Schumer was seen giving a “thumbs-up” gesture to a cell full of migrant men who had been detained for illegally crossing the border.

Democrats push for open borders

In his tweet, Schumer also advocated for passage of a bill called the Stop Cruelty to Migrant Children Act, officially known as S. 2113.

Breitbart reports that the bill, if passed into law, would essentially codify “catch-and-release” as the official border and immigration policy of the U.S.

The proposal would effectively encourage even more illegal migration into the country as it would place an array of restrictions on the ability of agents tasked with protecting the border to do their jobs.

The bill would significantly limit the length of time any migrant could be detained in federal custody and would prohibit the separation of adults and children — even as a sizeable portion of the “family units” that come across the border are later proven to be unrelated — while also providing ample legal representation for detained migrants at American taxpayer expense.

Furthermore, the proposed legislation would force the federal government to hire pro-migrant advocates as immigration judges and grant those judges authority to summarily shut dismiss deportation cases, even when there is evidence suggesting that the migrant in question would be ineligible for asylum, refugee, citizenship, or legal work status.

Putting illegals before citizens

Democrats have increasingly shown that they care little for the American workers that suffer from the economic and employment competition illegal alients represent, nor do they care for the American citizens and legal non-citizens who are victimized by illegals who commit violent crimes.

This bill pushed by Schumer and Senate Democrats would create de facto open borders, and Schumer’s “thumbs-up” to the detained migrants made it abundantly clear that his support lies with them and not the American people who want secure borders and an orderly process for legal entry into the country.
