Sarah Silverman: Lindsey Graham will ‘go to jail’ for enforcing the border

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Despite their assertions to the contrary, progressives have made it clear in recent months that they support open borders. And now, one leftist has gone so far as to say that enforcing our nation’s laws is a crime “against humanity.”

After Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) rightly argued that decriminalizing “illegal entry into the U.S.” would result in the country being “even more overrun than we are today,” comedian Sarah Silverman snapped back that she’s looking forward to seeing Graham behind bars for what she calls “crimes against humanity,” Breitbart reports.

Right-wing talking points

Silverman’s accusation came in response to a tweet from the South Carolina senator, who took aim at the Democrat 2020 hopefuls who, in recent debates, dismissed talk of “open borders” as nothing more than a “right-wing talking point.”

“Open borders is a right-wing talking point,” former Obama administration official Julián Castro said on Wednesday, “and frankly I’m disappointed that some folks, including some folks on this stage, have taken the bait.”

Missing the big picture

But Lindsey Graham wasn’t having it. He tweeted on Wednesday:

Graham’s tweet was apparently too much for Silverman, who fired back that Graham “will go to jail” for his role in enforcing the border.

Silverman tweeted Thursday:

Looking forward

Much to the dismay of liberals like Silverman, Sen. Graham and the rest of the GOP have made securing our nation’s southern border a top priority.

Meanwhile, many Democrats — perhaps out of reflexive spite against the president and his party — have gone in the opposite direction, instead demanding no enforcement of immigration laws both at the border and within the country.

But try as the Dems might, Sen. Graham nor anyone else is going to be sent to prison for enforcing the laws on the books. Sorry, not sorry.
