Lost amid all of the uproar over President Donald Trump, Ukraine and impeachment is the fact that the entire story boils down to allegations of corruption and malfeasance involving former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings in Ukraine.

Biden was asked a few weeks ago about his son’s professional endeavors in Ukraine and claimed he had never spoken with his son about such matters. But now a photo of Biden, his son, and one of his son’s Ukraine-connected business partners has surfaced, strongly implying that Biden lied about his knowledge of his son’s dealings in that country.

Interesting photo emerges

The Daily Wire reported that the picture which calls into question Biden’s prior statement of ignorance with regard to his son’s business dealings in Ukraine was made public on Monday by Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

The photo shows Joe and Hunter Biden and two other men, one of whom was Hunter Biden’s business associate, Devon Archer, together for a round of golf.

At the time of the photo, Hunter Biden and Archer were both on the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma, a company that was under investigation for alleged corruption.

The obvious implication is that the then-vice president, his son and his son’s associate and fellow Burisma board member would likely have discussed their business dealings while out on the links.

Biden’s claim debunked

As Carlson had noted in the segment, the photo from 2014 seemingly contradicts Biden’s response just a couple of weeks ago to a question posed by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, in which he denied ever having talked to his son about his foreign business ventures.

Biden had angrily replied, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” and went on to demand that President Trump be investigated and questioned about other things, such as his supposed effort to “intimidate” the Ukrainian president.

But even prior to the release of the photo, that particular claim of ignorance from Biden was already being called into question. The Daily Wire pointed out that Hunter Biden himself revealed in a 2018 interview with The New Yorker that he had indeed spoken with his father about his business dealings in foreign lands.

Furthermore, when it comes to trying to “intimidate” a foreign leader, the former vice president is on video quite literally bragging about doing exactly that, as he recounted threatening to withhold $1 billion in aid in 2016 unless Ukraine fired a top prosecutor — who just happened to be investigating Burisma and Hunter Biden.

Campaign in jeopardy?

It has become increasingly apparent that Joe Biden knows more than he has publicly admitted about his son’s allegedly corrupt — at the very least, highly questionable — business dealings in Ukraine and other foreign nations.

That sort of arrogance and dishonesty typically doesn’t play well with voters, and Biden’s already sliding presidential campaign could soon sink beyond the point of recovery with nobody to blame for it but himself.
