Singing siblings Donny and Marie Osmond have been stars in the entertainment scene since the 1970s, and most recently their show has been a staple attraction in Las Vegas for about a decade.

Donny Osmond just announced that he and his sister will be ending their long-running stint at the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel-casino in November 2019.

“Next year’s our final year,” Donny Osmond told the co-hosts of KTNV’s Las Vegas Morning Blend.

“We’ve been talking about it for a long time, but definitely, our countdown has started,” he added.

Initially a six-week run

The “Donny & Marie” show initially opened at the Flamingo in November 2008. “It was supposed to be six weeks at the Flamingo. It’ll be 11 years (next November), and it’ll be the end,” Donny Osmond said.

They have not offered up any explanation as to why they have decided to end their lengthy run in Las Vegas, either to reporters or on their social media pages and website.

According to the “Donny & Marie” website, the final show for which tickets can be purchased has already been set as Nov. 16, 2019.

Popular show

The duo’s 90-minute show runs Tuesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 pm in the showroom that bears their name at the Flamingo, with various ticket packages for the show starting at $95.

Packages can include dinner with the show, seating in the VIP section and an invite to a “Meet and Greet” session with the stars following the show.

That show features the siblings singing a variety of their own classic hits from over the years, as well as modern variations of some of the old hits, replete with a live band, choreographed dancers and the glitzy costumes Vegas shows have become known for.

Donny and Marie Osmond have been popular stars since the mid 1970s, and while they are set to end their run at the Flamingo in Las Vegas, odds are they won’t be entirely concluding their singing and dancing career altogether.

Where the Osmond siblings go from here is anybody’s guess, but for those who’d like to see them in Vegas before the show is finally concluded, the clock is now ticking.
