After serving as campaign manager for the final stretch of the 2016 election, Kellyanne Conway transitioned to her current role as a senior aide to President Donald Trump, where she has served admirably as a loyal defender and supporter of the president.
However, the same cannot be said of Kellyanne’s husband, George Conway, who has long been an outspoken and persistent critic of Trump. And now, President Trump is firing back.
“Husband from hell”
Following several days of sniping back and forth, President Trump unloaded on George Conway on Wednesday morning with a tweet that referred to him as a “husband from hell” and “loser” who is simply “jealous” of his wife’s success in the White House.
George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!

That tweet was the culmination of a mini-feud within the larger turmoil that popped up on Monday, when Mr. Conway — in response to the president’s many tweets over the weekend — tweeted out screenshots of the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders handbook, specifically the pages on Antisocial and Narcissistic Personality Disorders.
He followed that with a tweet in response to prominent “NeverTrumper” Bill Kristol agreeing that voters, the media, and Trump’s cabinet should all carefully consider the president’s “mental condition and psychological state” ahead of the 2020 election.
Agree with this, but would add that *all* Americans should be thinking seriously *now* about Trump’s mental condition and psychological state, including and especially the media, Congress—and the Vice President and Cabinet. https://t.co/OoxgLJpltE

“A total loser” who wants to scream at his wife
Those tweets garnered a response from Brad Parscale, Trump’s 2020 campaign manager. He retorted:
We all know that @realDonaldTrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted. He barely worked @TheJusticeDept and was either fired/quit, didn’t want the scrutiny? Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him!

The president shared that tweet, and added: “A total loser!”
Afterward, George Conway was interviewed by The Washington Post, where he attempted to pick apart Parscale and the president by countering the claims in Parscale’s tweet.
“The tweeting is just the way to get it out of the way, so I can get it off my chest and move on with my life that day. That’s basically it,” George Conway said on Monday. “Frankly, it’s so I don’t end up screaming at her about it.”
Which brings us back full circle to Trump’s Wednesday morning tweet calling Conway the “husband from hell.” It’s hard not to agree.
