The Disney World resorts in Orlando, FL are generally regarded as some of the happiest places on Earth — but that wasn’t the case for the firefighters and police who responded to an emergency call early Saturday morning.

After firefighters tackled what initially appeared to be a simple vehicle fire in a Disney World parking lot, it was quickly discovered that a body was inside that burned vehicle.

The Orlando Sentinel reported that the burned vehicle was located in the parking lot of the Disney resort’s Fantasia Gardens mini-golf course.

The Reedy Creek Fire Department was the first to respond to the blaze, which was reported shortly after 4 a.m.

It wasn’t long before Orange County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on scene to provide assistance, as well.

But once the flames were extinguished, the deputies and firefighters discovered a body inside of the burned vehicle.

Dead body found

WFTV reported that officials have yet to publicly identify the body or the vehicle’s owner, but an investigation is underway.

That investigation includes the fire marshal, homicide detectives, and investigators for Florida’s Sector 6.

Thus far, there has been no word on the cause of death of the victim, as it is unclear if the person died in the blaze or was already dead before the fire started.

It is also unclear if this incident was some sort of horrific accident or a sinister attempt to cover up an act of foul play.

Hopefully, the victim is swiftly identified so their family can be notified of the loss — and so whoever is responsible for this tragedy can be held accountable.
