Report: Ukraine whistleblowers’ lawyer sought out administration informants

Almost as though on cue, a second so-called “whistleblower” with a complaint about President Donald Trump’s interactions with Ukraine has emerged just as the breathless narrative surrounding the first alleged “whistleblower” has all but crumbled under closer scrutiny and with the release of a transcript of the phone call at the heart of the matter.

As it turns out, this second “whistleblower” is a client of the same attorney who is representing the first, and on top of that, it has also now been revealed that the supposedly nonpartisan attorney has been actively soliciting anti-Trump whistleblowers to speak out since the president’s earliest days in office.

Two whistleblowers, one attorney

Breitbart reported that news began to break over the weekend of the existence of a second “whistleblower” said to have firsthand knowledge of the allegations contained in the first “whistleblower” complaint, which was based entirely on second- and third-hand hearsay.

It has since been confirmed by the first complainant’s attorney himself, Mark S. Zaid, that he will be representing the second so-called whistleblower as well.

Zaid tweeted on Sunday: “NEWS UPDATE: I can confirm this report of a second #whistleblower being represented by our legal team. They also made a protected disclosure under the law and cannot be retaliated against. This WBer has first hand knowledge.”

Nonprofit, not nonpartisan

But while the media and Democrats prepare to go nuts over this next alleged whistleblower, virtually all are ignoring — whether purposefully or not — the fact that Zaid operates a non-profit organization that has explicitly advertised itself as actively seeking out whistleblowers who will come forward and speak out against the Trump administration.

The group is known as Whistleblower Aid, was established in September 2017, and has ties to leftist activist groups and the Democratic Party.

Some of the organizations linked to Whistleblower Aid include the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress, the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center, and the ultra liberal American Civil Liberties Union, among others.

Trump not happy

Needless to say, President Trump is less than thrilled by the news of yet another anonymous so-called “whistleblower” upon whom Democrats and the media will seize in their never-ending bid to damage and ultimately oust Trump from the White House.

In a tweet on Sunday, Trump noted that the attorneys representing both “whistleblowers” were Democrats that supported Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

The president also alluded separately to the fact that, with the first “whistleblower” complaint having been debunked, the left had no choice but to go back to “the bench” to dig up another one — as if Americans haven’t seen this exact same tactic play out before just a year ago with the multi-layered attack on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearings.

Democrats and the media will undoubtedly squeeze this second so-called “whistleblower” for all that they are worth, but a majority of the American people are smart enough to see through the charade of baseless allegations put forward by partisans who have already shown that their overarching goal is to see President Trump removed from office.
