Report: Whistleblower found to have political bias in favor of Trump opponent

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Democrats and the media successfully whipped themselves into a frenzy over the past week with regard to a so-called whistleblower complaint about the content of a phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky, and even though nobody knew who the whistleblower was, what the complaint entailed, or what had actually been said between Trump and Zelensky, Democrats nonetheless pounced and demanded impeachment.

However, Fox News is now reporting that not only did the “whistleblower” not even have first-hand knowledge of the content or subject matter of the phone call — and therefore isn’t really a whistleblower — the Office of Intelligence Community Inspector General had already determined that the individual who filed the complaint displayed indications of political bias in favor of one of Trump’s “rival candidates” for the presidency.

“Whistleblower” bias

The bombshell news about the so-called “whistleblower” was first announced by Fox News reporter Ed Henry on Tuesday night during Sean Hannity’s program, according to Breitbart.

Henry cited an unnamed “senior official” in the administration who had seen the inspector general’s report about the complaint, material that the White House said would be released as soon as was practicable by law.

That report was said to reveal, at least in part, that the so-called whistleblower did not have direct knowledge of Trump’s call with Zelensky and that the complainant was biased in favor of one of Trump’s challengers, though it did not indicate which one.

Henry further stated that, according to his sources, the transcript of the phone call between Trump and Zelensky might contain some remarks that could raise some eyebrows, but did not include any sort of “smoking gun” of overtly illegal activity as was implied by hysterical Democrats and media pundits over the past few days.

Details undermine Democrats’ narrative

A more detailed report from Fox News expounded slightly upon Henry’s breaking news about the inspector general’s report on the complaint and seemed to undercut one of the primary narratives driving the impeachment hysteria over the issue.

As the Democrats and the media were quick to emphasize, the inspector general (IG) had initially described the complaint as being in regard to an “urgent” matter which had “appeared credible” at first glance.

However, the complaint was subsequently turned over to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence the general counsel of which, in conjunction with the Department of Justice, ultimately determined that the complaint was not really as “urgent” as initially suggested and was therefore not subject to mandatory disclosure to Congress.

Nevertheless, the complaint and IG report that stemmed from the complaint are expected to be delivered to the appropriate congressional committees as soon as allowed by law, on order of the White House.

Impeach, no matter what

Democrats and the media worked themselves into a froth over anonymous allegations of potential wrongdoing by the president without knowing who the “whistleblower” was, what the complaint entailed, what alleged crime had occurred, or even what had been said in the phone call at issue.

As the answers to those questions begin to be revealed, it looks an awful lot like Democrats and the media — in their incessant quest to “get Trump” — have once again overreached and widely missed the mark on this one.
