WATCH: World leaders other than Trump are the true embarrassment

While the House Democrats were trying to “teach” the American people why impeaching the president is a good thing to do, our president was busy representing us at the two day NATO summit in London, England.

During what appears to be happy hour, the prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, was caught on video along with Boris Johnson of the UK, and Emmanuel Macron of France, making fun of President Trump taking 40 minutes of questions at each of his meetings at the summit.

Perhaps they wish they were as important as the leader of the nation that has funded NATO for the last 70 years. Without the US, NATO would not continue as an organization.

These “world leaders” consider themselves smarter, better, and more sophisticated than the president, but I think it is pretty dumb to mock the person who represents the country that can make or break the alliance.

While all NATO countries theoretically commit to spending 2% of GDP to support the alliance, only 7 of the 28 countries in NATO have actually reached the 2% threshold. The US spends over 3% of a $19T GDP.

In a press conference with Trudeau, Trump asked where Canada was in meeting the 2% defense funding requirement. It was quite amusing to watch Trudeau squirm as he tells the president that Canada is paying 70% more, which is still only 1.35% of their GDP for defense.

Here is Greg Gutfeld’s take on it:
