President Trump halts funding to the WHO

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

President Trump announced that the US would halt funding to the World Health Organization while US officials conduct a review of the WHO’s action or inaction as the Covid-19 virus spread through populations, becoming an epidemic and then a pandemic.

The president explained that the US needs to understand the role of the organization in mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus before anymore US taxpayer dollars can be spent.

The US spends $400-800 million a year on the WHO. The president thinks that the WHO did not do its duty to warn the world of the seriousness of the coronavirus, but instead covered up for China, the source of the virus.

China, the second-largest economy in the world, spends a mere $40-90 million a year funding the WHO, a tenth of what the US spends. The president pointed out that it is not worth it for the US to continue to fund an organization so beholden to the country responsible for spreading the coronavirus around the world while the WHO covered for them.

As the world became more aware of what was happening in China, the president halted travel to and from China, but the WHO opposed travel restrictions along with the mainstream media and Democrats. Now, it is obvious that President Trump was right to stop flights first to and from China, then Italy and Europe, and then the UK. He was right, they were wrong.

The president did not hesitate to place blame for thousands of deaths on the WHO for the delays caused by covering for China. The other regions that followed the WHO’s advice, like Italy and Spain, have lost many thousands to the coronavirus.

WHO failed to fulfill its mission

The president also gave a brief history of the WHO along with its mission or reason to exist. Organized in 1948, the mission of the was the protection of international public health. The WHO exists to prevent global health crises.

They should have investigated the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan. But, President Trump pointed out, the WHO chose political correctness above lifesaving procedures.

That choice has also deprived the scientific community of lifesaving data that would aid them in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, and accurate truthful data is the only way scientists can arrive at a solution for COVID-19.

In fact, if the WHO had taken the right steps early on, the virus may have been contained in China.

Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) supported the president, saying that it is in America’s best interest to halt funding:

WHO Director-General a shill for China

The WHO Director-General (DG) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised China for its actions regarding their response to the coronavirus outbreak, even provoking a Council on Foreign Relations Asia Unbound writer to criticize him.

In contrast to his effusive praise for China, Tedros has been quick to criticize other countries for their responses to the outbreak. He called upon nations not to limit travel with China and warned against the “recrimination or politicization” of the outbreak. Domestic Chinese news coverage prominently features Tedros’ praise of Xi Jinping and criticism of foreign governments.

Michael Collins went on to reveal the extent of Tedros’ obligation to China, writing that Tedros was supported by China in his bid to become Director-General of the WHO. After he won the election, Tedros went on to assure China publicly that he supported “one China,” a euphemism for subjugation of Taiwan. It is China’s goal to bring Taiwan under its rule. Taiwan is currently excluded from the World Health Organization, not being recognized as a sovereign nation.

It is not surprising that Tedros scolded the United States for its actions regarding the coronavirus, because inherent in those actions is the spoken and unspoken truth that China is to blame for the Covid-19 pandemic.
