Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has been on the unhinged side of things with regard to her view of President Donald Trump since before he was even elected — but even she managed to take her perpetual outrage against the president to another level in recent days.
The congresswoman has been shouting “Impeach 45!” since 2017, but it would appear that removing Trump from office is no longer sufficient, as Waters has now recommended that the president be imprisoned in solitary confinement for his supposed crimes, according to Politico.
Trump’s tough stance against “whistleblowers” and “spies”
Rep. Waters’ call for Trump to be locked up came in response to remarks made earlier by the president with regard to the so-called “whistleblower” who filed a complaint with respect to Trump’s July phone call with the Ukrainian president.
Trump had referred to the whistleblower — as well as any officials who provided that individual information — as being “close to a spy.”
The president also reminded everyone of the harsh penalties in the “old days” in cases of “spies and treason,” which would often be a death sentence.
Waters took great issue with those remarks from Trump, apparently hypocritically ignoring the fact that she herself has repeatedly accused the president of being a traitor and commiting “treason” against America and serving as a “spy” on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Impeachment not good enough
The congresswoman tweeted on Tuesday: “I’m calling on the GOP to stop Trump’s filthy talk of whistleblowers being spies [and] using mob language implying they should be killed.”
She went on: “Impeachment is not good enough for Trump. He needs to be imprisoned [and] placed in solitary confinement.
“But for now, impeachment is the imperative,” she added.

Waters’ obsession with impeachment — and it would seem now imprisonment, as well — is not confined solely to President Trump, as the congresswoman has also called for the impeachment and removal of Attorney General William Barr, referring to him as “Trump’s puppet.”
As an ironic aside, as the Daily Caller noted, Waters has been highly critical in the past of the use of solitary confinement for inmates in prison and has taken part in a broader effort to end the practice altogether, making her demand that Trump suffer that fate all the more hypocritical.
Maxine Waters was already all but consumed by her severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome and, unfortunately, it seems like her affliction is only getting worse.
