A brutal stabbing murder took place on July 31 in Towson, Maryland, just north of Baltimore, which ultimately led to charges being filed against several members of the notorious Latino street gang MS-13.

On top of that, it has now been confirmed that six of the seven suspected gang members arrested for the crime were residing in the country illegally and are now being held without bond on detainers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Gang-related murder

The Baltimore Sun recently reported that seven individuals were arrested by Baltimore County police on suspicion of involvement in the stalking and murdering of 21-year-old Daniel Cuellar in Towson on July 31.

Cuellar, who is believed to have flashed a hand signal representing the 18th Street gang, the chief rival of MS-13, was subsequently surveilled by a group of MS-13 members and followed home from a laundromat only to be ambushed and stabbed to death outside of his apartment. At least one of Cuellar’s assailants used a “machete-style knife” in the particularly bloody attack.

Using security camera footage from the nearby laundromat, police were able to see all of the suspects and identify their vehicle. That vehicle was then stopped two weeks later in Mississippi, and police were able to match the detained individuals with those seen in the video footage.

The Sun noted that these arrests were just the latest in a series of murders across Maryland over the past couple of years that have been attributed to the ongoing conflict between the two rival gangs.

Six of seven arrested are known illegal aliens

Just one day after that report from The Sun, WBAL reported that six of the seven arrested individuals were confirmed to be members of MS-13 by the gang database maintained by ICE.

Furthermore, those six known gang members are also now known to be in the U.S. illegally. All six — five from El Salvador and one from Mexico — are being held without bond on ICE detainers while the investigation into their alleged involvement in the murder continues.

One of those arrested is only 16 years old, but is being charged as an adult. He is, however, said to be cooperating with investigators, admitting his participation in the stalking of Cuellar and even pointing himself out in the surveillance video police obtained.

The threat is real

President Donald Trump has repeatedly brought attention to the depraved criminal activities of MS-13 in addition to the fact that significant numbers of that gang’s stateside members are in the country illegally.

Democrats and the establishment media have continuously scoffed at the notion that MS-13 poses any sort of threat to the country, even amid recurring reports of that gang’s brutality against American citizens and fellow immigrants alike, holding communities across the country hostage to their unspeakable terrors.

The threat can be denied no longer, particularly in light of this new evidence that the murderous gang is indeed riddled with illegal aliens. But, sadly, there will still be those on the left who will refuse to admit what everybody else can plainly see right before their very own eyes.
