Burning America down

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Watching rioters burn and loot American cities by the thousands seems surreal. Where is law enforcement? Why is this violence and chaos allowed? Who is responsible?

Attorney General William Barr made a statement today about the chaos, the perpetrators, the responsibility of local government, and the plans of the DOJ.

Radical left exploits peaceful protest

He first made it plain that the DOJ believes that the peaceful protests have been used as an excuse by radical groups to riot, thereby protecting and respecting the right of all Americans to peacefully protest, while at the same time condemning the violence of the rioters.

The voices of peaceful protests are being highjacked by violent radical elements. Groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate and violent agenda.

Some rioters travel across state lines

He then went on to explain that the DOJ believes the violence of the riots was planned and encouraged by leftist extremists.

In many places, it appears the violence is planned, organized, and driven by Anarchtic and left extremist groups using Antifa-like tactics many of whom travel from outside the state to promote the violence.

Governors and mayors are responsible to halt the violence

Barr made it plain in his statement that governors, mayors, and local law enforcement are responsible to put an end to the violence in their cities and states.

We must have law and order on our streets and in our communities and it is the responsibility of the local and state leadership in the first instance,  to halt this violence.

You would think that Democrat governors and mayors would be thankful to have autonomy in dealing with their own local problems that have been perpetuated by Democrat leadership for decades in most of the cities where the riots are occurring. But in typically Democrat fashion, they are blaming President Trump for the racial unrest following George Floyd’s death.

Looting, shooting, and responsibility

The president tweeted earlier this week, that shooting follows looting and the “thugs” that are committing violence are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd. He also pointed out that the mayor of Minneapolis was weak and a leftist. It is true that Minneapolis law enforcement fled the 3rd precinct during the riots rather than protecting the precinct and the property of law-abiding citizens.

Some Democrats are already arguing that President Trump is to blame.

Mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, was particularly angry with the president and accused him of showing the failures of Democratic leaders and of trying to destabilize local governments and inflame racist urges.

He wants to show failures on the part of Democratic local leaders, to throw red meat to his base. His goal is to polarize, to destabilize local government and inflame racist urges. We can absolutely not let him prevail. And I will code what I really want to say to Donald Trump. It’s two words. It begins with F and it ends with U.

Now apparently, Lightfoot thinks that hurling coded expletives at the president will fix everything, but hopefully, decent people in all of these stricken cities, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Oakland, Los Angeles, New York, and others will realize that Democrat leadership is not only too expensive but also very unsafe. Vote them out!

The DOJ will pursue the interstate rioters

Barr went on to explain that the DOJ will pursue the interstate troublemakers, which they have identified as far-left extremists and anarchists. Even the Democrat governor of Minnesota, Gary Walz acknowledged in a news conference that many of the rioters were not locals.

The Department of Justice, including the FBI, the US Marshalls, the ATF, the DEA, and our 93 US Attorneys offices around the country are supporting these local efforts and are take all action necessary to enforce federal law.

In that regard, it is a federal crime to cross state lines or to use interstate facilities to incite or participate in violent rioting and we will enforce those laws.
