Bill and Hillary Clinton booed by crowd at Billy Joel concert in NYC

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Former President Bill Clinton and his wife, former secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary, were once considered the king and queen of the Democrat Party, but their bright shining star of popularity has dimmed dramatically in recent years.

That was evidenced quite clearly on Thursday when the former first couple attended a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City and elicited just as many, if not more, boos than cheers for their presence.

Cheers drowned out by boos

Fox News reported that the Clintons traveled to a concert given by NYC-native Billy Joel, who not only noted their presence on the large screens arrayed behind him and around the arena, but also dedicated a song to his friendship with them.

The mention of their names by Joel first prompted an eruption of cheers from the massive crowd, but those cheers were quickly matched and eventually overshadowed by a chorus of boos directed at the increasingly unpopular former president and first lady.

The Clintons were first spotted on the video screens as Joel played the classic hit “Only the Good Die Young”… a rather interesting choice, given the long-standing conspiratorial tales of mysterious and unexplained deaths among associates of the Clintons over the years.

Following the conclusion of that song, Joel said, “I want to dedicate this next song to my dear friends who are here tonight, Bill and Hillary Clinton.”

You can hear the cheers turn into boos as the Clintons were displayed on the large screens once again for the entire arena to see.

Fading stars

The Daily Wire noted that it was unclear exactly why the Clintons were booed by a significant portion of the crowd in the massive arena, but proceeded to list a number of controversies linked to the duo and other convincing pieces of evidence that their popularity is on the decline.

There is, of course, Bill Clinton’s connection to infamous sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein, who was recently arrested and charged with conspiracy and sex trafficking of minors. There were also close ties between the Clintons and disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, whose predatory sexual behavior has been brought to light in recent years and was the impetus for the #MeToo movement.

There was also the much-hyped, far less attended promotional book and speaking tour the Clintons embarked upon earlier in the year, a tour that began with ludicrously high ticket prices that ended with half-filled venues virtually giving tickets away to anyone who would attend.

The point is, Bill and Hillary Clinton are no longer the beloved political rock stars they were once chalked up to be, and a good-sized portion of the crowd at Madison Square Garden decided to let them know in no uncertain terms.
