While the entire world waits for Nancy Pelosi to deliver the articles of impeachment to Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, Joe Biden is trying to get the media to keep their focus on President Trump rather than on him. And he just made a shocking statement confirming that he will defy a Senate subpoena if he is called as an impeachment witness.
The impeachment delay
Part of the reason Pelosi won’t deliver the articles to the Senate is that she is not sure how the trial will be run in the Republican-majority chamber. One issue is witnesses: Chuck Schumer is calling for the president’s advisors to be witnesses in the trial, and President Trump has called for Hunter and Joe Biden to testify.
Having witnesses at the impeachment can open a can of worms for both parties. President Trump doesn’t want his advisors to testify. Biden is worried about having to appear before the Senate. He would have to answer uncomfortable questions from Republicans about his son and his own activities in Ukraine that would draw a lot of attention to him.
Fake journalists cover for Biden
If journalists and the media did their duty, every word that Joe Biden said against President Trump would be turned back on him. But the media arm of the Democrat party keeps covering for Joe. Sometimes, it’s explicit, as Biden repeatedly reminds them to keep covering Trump and not him.
Biden builds a case for refusing a Senate subpoena
Biden is already building a case that there is no legal basis for him to testify in the trial. He tweeted this argument, “The subpoenas should go to witnesses with testimony to offer to Trump’s shaking down the Ukraine government — they should go to the White House…”
Biden on shakedowns
Now if anyone knows how to shakedown the Ukraine government, that would be Joe Biden. He actually bragged in January 2018 about threatening to withhold a billion dollars in loan guarantees if the Ukrainian government did not fire the prosecutor that happened to be investigating the corrupt company his son worked for.
The shakedown worked, the prosecutor was fired and Hunter Biden kept his lucrative seat on the board of Burisma making $83,000 a month.
Why aren’t more journalists exposing Biden’s corruption?
Joe Biden’s corruption in Ukraine is something journalists should be exposing. His corruption is part of the reason the president was asking Ukraine President Zelensky to help with the investigation.
It is the president’s duty and right to ask for help from Ukraine to investigate criminal activity. There has been a mutual legal assistance treaty with Ukraine since 1999. It is very important to bring this matter to light especially if it involves such a high-ranking official as the vice president of the United States.
If journalists had been doing their jobs all along, Biden never would have been able to run for president. He shouldn’t be running now, but fake journalists continue to cover for him.
Biden’s interview with Des Moines Register confirms his plan
Biden talked to the Des Moines Register recently and said he wouldn’t comply with a Senate subpoena because his testimony would take the focus off Trump and Trump would get off the hook.
